What to do in August in Denmark Copenhagen and Aarhus

You can start your day in Copenhagen at the Black Diamond library by the water. Inside, there's a Kids' Corner with soft chairs and books in many languages. Kids sit in circles to hear stories all day long. The children love it and get really excited about the fairy tales.

When it gets warmer, go to Frederiksberg Gardens. There are flowers, butterflies, and swans on the pond. Families sit on blankets and eat sandwiches and strawberries. If you want to swim, take the train to Amager Strandpark. It has a nice beach with calm water.

Back in the city, visit the Experimentarium. Kids can see small tornados, make big bubbles, and play with water. It's like a fun science playground.

The Little Mermaid statue is nearby. Kids like to climb on the wooden playground there more than looking at the statue. They can build forts with logs while parents take photos.

In Aarhus, there's Dokk1 library by the water. It has a LEGO corner and cozy spots for story time. Outside, kids can dance on the wooden docks while boats go by.

Walk through the old streets where musicians play music. Kids love to listen to the trumpets and jazz. You might find toy shops with wooden animals and dollhouses.

Den Gamle By is an old-style museum. Kids can dress up in old clothes, pretend to make butter, and look inside tiny old kitchens. Every street is fun to explore.

At night, Tivoli Friheden lights up with pretty lights. There are rides, the smell of sweet treats, and roller coasters. Lanterns float over the lake and make everything look golden.

Small libraries are fun too. Some have story time led by young kids, and others have special times for babies.

Bring a light jacket because it might rain sometimes. Wear good walking shoes. In Copenhagen and Aarhus this August, every park and library corner is perfect for making happy memories with kids.
